Horizon Treadmill Review
If you’re looking for a cheap treadmill, expect to compromise some quality. One of the cheapest lines of treadmills comes from Horizon. Horizon Treadmills practically built the brand on being an affordable, entry level, and, in terms of quality, cheap treadmill and definitely not for serious runners. In the same price range as a comparable Proform Treadmill, Horizon Treadmills go for anything from $700 to $1,400. Just remember that when looking at this end of the price scale, most of the models will come with questionable quality and durability.
One of the pros, other than the low price, of Horizon Treadmills, and beyond some other competing brands is the design. If you want a cheap treadmill to look pretty in your house, Horizon makes some of the aesthetically pleasing models. Just don’t let the looks fool you into thinking it anything more than that. Pretty is no predication of quality. There are other entry level brands that also offer cheap treadmills that seem to be of better value.
Mixed reviews from users have complimented the company for being on their toes about sending replacement parts within warranty to users who complain about the noise level of the machine.
On the low end the Horizon T51 Treadmill is the cheapest treadmill in the Horizon product lineup. It’s tiny motor pumps out up to 1.75hp and the speed max’s out at 10mph. Retails at $699 and has a 50in x 18in running surface that is relatively smaller compared to standard cheap treadmills.
The highest end Horizon Treadmill is the Horizon Elite 5.1T Treadmill. The 2.5CHP motor will keep you trotting happily along up to 10mph on a 60in x 20in 2-ply ortho belt. It’s easily the most expensive Horizon Treadmill retailing at $1,999. Whatever you decide on, don’t forget an additional $50 for a treadmill mat.
